Before she went into real estate, Lorilei “Lori” Taylor worked in a field that requires not only exceptional people skills, quick response time and courage, but also a keen attention to details. She served for 16 years in law enforcement, with most of that time spent as a detective.

“I wanted to be a Realtor for as long as I can remember,” she recalls. “I would talk about it over and over again to my husband, who always told me that I should just take the leap and do it.”

In 2019, Lori did just that – quickly capturing the trust and loyalty of both her home buying and selling clients.

Lori also formed Taylor Group Realty, later joined by her husband Maxwell (Max), a retired law enforcement officer, and agents Lisa Greeno and Karen Lewis. Together, the team recently combined forces with Coldwell Banker Advantage in Fayetteville, N.C., named the #1 Coldwell Banker franchise in North America for five years.

For Lori, her work always comes down to helping others with a challenging yet rewarding process in their lives.

“In law enforcement, the thing that made me happiest was helping others in need. In real estate, we come across people who need our help every day. The appreciation we receive feels the same. It’s a great feeling – and makes my heart full,” she says.

On a personal note, Lori and her family make their own home in the Eastover community of eastern Cumberland County. Lori and Max are parents to a teenage son (“a very respectful young man) and “two of the cutest dogs on the planet,” named Smokey and Bandit.

Staying involved in the community is important for the Taylors.

“We enjoy sponsoring Cumberland County recreational center baseball teams,” says Lori. “A lot of parents can’t afford to purchase uniforms for their kids to play in these games, so we find great joy in helping with that.”
